is no secret that E. Calamucha is staunch fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. One day in 1942, while walking in Cabo Polonio, he learned that the theme of "Hollywood" performed by the band Kiedis and Co., was in fact the reversal of a song called "Africa."
Moved by curiosity, Stephen was given to investigate who these blacks who sang so merrily "Take me back to the mother land" (Take me de nuevo a la tierra madre, es decir, Africa). Resultó ser que la banda se llamaba The Meters, y que el tema venía en un disco llamado "Rejuvenation".
Esteban, que por ese entonces estaba en los años más agitados de su floreciente juventud, vivía solo manteniéndose a duras penas en su departamentito de la calle Reconquista. En su autobiografía, Calamucha confiesa haberse pasado "noches enteras escuchando Rejuvenation en mi nicho de la calle Reconquista".
