Figure Calamucha is central to the history of tango, especially his relationship with Jose "Pepe" Basso. In the 40's Calamucha returned to Argentina after four years. Escaped from his addiction to heroin, which had tried to Miles Davis in New York. On the plane he realized it was Sunday, so surely play Platense. That was how Stephen became a secret collaborator of the major orchestras of the 40's and 50's, even to travel to Japan in 1959 to be interviewed by investigators Nippon interested in making a history of tango.
